We made a few changes for 2010. The red LED retrofit bulbs we used on the roof last year were not bright enough so we replaced them with clear C9 incandescent bulbs. We decided to point the bulbs down and they really make the roofline bright. We hot glued the red LED bulbs to the brick to outline the house and windows and boy did that take awhile but we are happy with the results. The big tree base got a fresh coat of paint and we replaced the faded bows with new ornaments. The wig-wag Reindeer Crossing signals got shortened and added back to the display. The big train got a new battery and we had to replace an axle bearing that gave out. The kids were very excited about helping out this year but still seem more interested in the boxes we store stuff in than the contents. We did a small lighting ceremony using the magic of Rudolf’s nose to kick off the season and a short video can be seen HERE. We hope you enjoy the pictures and can stop by and see the display.
