Random Display Ideas

Here are some ideas that have caught my attention over the years.

Santa House

This is a very creative idea. If you have the right house profile this would be great!

Frosty's Tree Lot

This idea was built by Kathie from Lancaster, California. Place small or large lighted trees all around your yard and you have a great theme.

Grinch Stealing Lights

This is a concept we came across back in 1999 in the Deerfield subdivision (Plano, Texas). They had the Grinch pulling lights off the house. We did not get a picture of the house back then but I still remember it to this day. Pictured here is a neat version of this concept by Jeff Tonne from Seguin, Texas.

Big Switch

Have you ever wanted to have your own BIG switch to turn your lights on? Need one for your family lighting ceremony or maybe just for your indoor tree? Kids would love it and I am sure they would fight over doing chores just to turn it on or off. Dennis Sawyer, from Houston, Texas made this one and it is huge.

This is a very creative idea. If you have the right house profile this would really stand out!

BIG Tree

Want a tree so big that it pokes through the roof? I like this idea but have never seen it done in person. A quick internet search found this picture by Greig Howe from Bournemouth, UK. Note the branches sticking out of the lower windows. Nice touch.

Tier Tree

I came across this picture many years ago and have always enjoyed it.

Put Out The Lights

If you have a good sense of humor you can get away with this one. To make this look good at night add a spot light to the sign and put working lights in a pile. Put a storage container behind the lights to look like you just dumped them out. Put the lights on a timer and you will have an easy display that will be talked about by all the neighbors.
